As an expert in your field, your resume is rich in experience and nuanced learnings and a well-written GLG profile serves as your GLG “resume,” helping us identify you as the right person for a GLG Project.
When we search GLG Profiles, if we can’t identify you by the places you’ve worked and the roles you’ve held, as well as the detail of your expertise, it’s very difficult to match you to relevant GLG Projects and to market you effectively to our clients. You might have the insight the client is looking for, but if we can’t find you readily, chances are we will be unable to send you the opportunity.
This easy-to-use explainer is designed to help you craft a GLG Profile that will function as GLG’s guide to all things about you, your career, and your knowledge. Follow these basic guidelines to build a GLG Profile that highlights your expertise to clients and helps us match you to the right Project.

Biography |
We don't recommend copying and pasting an existing biography or resume into your GLG Profile. Each entry should be augmented with detail that would be relevant to us, and our clients, as we search for the right expert.
- Write in complete sentences and follow this format for each relevant job from the past three to five years:
- Currently Employed NMs: [NM name] is currently [current job title] at [current employer] since [month and year]. [Current employer] is a [company description]. In this role, [first name] is responsible for [job responsibilities].
- Formerly Employed NMs: [NM name] was most recently [former job title] at [former employer] until [month and year]. [Former employer] is a [company description]. In this role, [first name] was responsible for [job responsibilities].
- Describe the NM’s responsibilities at the company. Be specific. Use industry-relevant keywords. This helps the NM be found by search algorithms for those terms.
- If there are important or unique accomplishments at any of their positions, include them using industry-specific keywords and specific examples of products or software they are familiar with, and include numerical data points whenever possible.

|
Work History |
A NM’s work history shows how they have built industry expertise. It’s important that a NM’s work history aligns with the information mentioned in their biography.
- Start chronologically from the most recent position and include the most up-to-date job title.
- Add all relevant previous roles from the past three to five years.
- However, if there are any important/unique roles that they have held (e.g., former government official) that are older than five years, include those as well. (But use good judgment — 1990 is no longer relevant!)

Bio Writing Style Tips

Include date [month and year] for each job mentioned in the biography.

Proofread and correct typos or grammatical errors prior to sending a NM biography to a client.
